Join the Vancouver Canucks at Rogers Arena to celebrate Chinese New Year!
Prior to the game, the Canucks will sport a new look in warm-ups. The warm-up jerseys will be red with Year of the Dog decorations on the shoulder. Select game worn warm-up jerseys will be available in the Canucks team store for purchase during the game.
There will also be pre game festivities. Fans can check out Lion and Dragon dancers, Kung Fu clubs, food carts and other festive decorations and activities. Be sure to come early!
The kid zone at Rogers Arena, located between section 101 to 103 in the concourse, will have a special feel for the game. Custom fortune cookies, a dog-colouring contest and red envelope giveaway are among some of the exciting features for young Canucks fans.
Chinese cuisine will also be featured on Feb. 17 in the concourse and premium areas. This includes pot stickers and wontons, crispy pork belly on rice, steamed soup dumplings with black vinegar, and pork bao.
To kick off the game, Larry "King" Kwong, the first player of Asian descent to play in the NHL, will be recognized. Larry's story as a trailblazer will be celebrated in a pre-game video and his daughter, Kristina, will be present for a ceremonial puck drop on behalf of her father.
Tickets are limited! Buy yours on the Rogers Arena website. Ticket prices start at $73.
